    The Final of BEWG Cup “1st China ‘Internet+’” Technological Venture Capital Competition of Ecological Environment Successfully Ended 2021-12-06

     

    Innovation is a constant pursuit and entrepreneurship is an extraordinary choice. On December 4, the final of BEWG Cup “1st China ‘Internet+’” Technological Venture Capital Competition of Ecological Environment that lasted for eight months was successfully ended. This competition attracted the sign-up of 104 projects of 7 innovative teams from 90 enterprises, and the enthusiastic participation of over 1000 entrepreneurs. Through a series of selections, 14 participating projects entered the national final.

    Result announcement

    On the site of the national final, through heated competition, the project 8Sunshine - Key Technology R&D and Industrialization of Distributed Intelligent Photoelectricity of Beijing 8Sunshine Technology Co., Ltd. was the champion and won the entrepreneurship award of RMB 150,000 yuan; the project Industrial Environmental Protection - Technological Industrialization of RPF Functional Fiber Stink Treatment of BEIES was the runner-up and won the entrepreneurship award of RMB 80,000 yuan; the project Z-TEC Science & Technology - Negative Pressure Drainage Technology of Single Phase Flow of Shanghai Z-TEC Science & Technology Co., Ltd. was the third winner and won the entrepreneurship award of RMB 30,000 yuan.

    The project Gongtong Sight - Key ChV Water Quality Detection Equipment and Technical Industrialization of Intelligent Water won the best technological innovation award; the project Z-TEC Science & Technology - Negative Pressure Drainage Technology of Single Phase Flow won the best entrepreneurship spirit award; the project Jinfu Environment - Packaged Technology and Equipment Industrialization of Urban Sludge Pyrolysis Carbonization won the best investors’ flavor award; the project Industrial Environmental Protection - Technological Industrialization of RPF Functional Fiber Stink Treatment won the best popularity award.

    Wang Hongchen, Director of the Expert Committee of the Venture Capital Competition, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of Renmin University of China, Director of Low-carbon Water Environment Technology Research Center in Renmin University of China summarized four characteristics of the competition in the comment speech. First of all, the competition agenda and system are very rigorous; second, the participation fields cover many aspects and the teams tightly follow hotspots of the times and target at industrial demands; third, the cross-border excellent technologies are empowering the environment-friendly industry; fourth, the platform boasts strong resource integration abilities. He indicated that in the era of “mass innovation”, mere innovation is far from enough; we need to implement innovation and finally transform technological achievements; the venture capital competition is providing such opportunities and platforms.

    On the signing ceremony, BEWG Research Institute, Strategic Development Center and BEWG Education Center signed the MOU with 8 excellent projects of the venture capital competition; both parties will start in-depth exchanges. BEWG will also fully publicize the industrial resources, channel resources and capital resources, help boost the promotion and application of innovation technology achievements and endow the transformation and upgrade of the industry.

    Yu Liguo, the rotating CEO of BEWG and President of CEEIEA made a summary on behalf of the competition committee and praised that many participating contestants are competitors of middle-distance and even marathon and BEWG group is also a venture company; the scale of the total assets reaches up to around HK 200 billion dollars, which takes 20 years. The journey tells the horse. The competition is merely the beginning and there is a long way to go. He hoped that the venture companies present could achieve greater attainments through ten-year and twenty-year development.

On the morning of December 5, the first offline project matchmaking conference after the competition was successfully held; all participating teams and enterprises of the final exchanged with the competition judges, entrepreneurship mentors and investment organizations face to face, jointly discussed about the technical R&D and business upgrade plan, and explored plans of cooperation implementation and application promotion.
