BEWG: Promote the Cultivation of Skilled Talents, and Build a Backbone Operation Team 2021-07-12

Recently, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of the People’s Republic of China issued the Implementation Plan of “Skills China Action” , deciding to organize and implement the Skills China Action during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, and making this Action a key task of the 14th Five-Year Plan for the development of human resources and social security undertakings. 

To further improve the skilled talents development system, improve the evaluation system of skilled talents, establish a vocational skills competition system, and provide solid technical talent supports for the development of BEWG, on July 8, BEWG Education Center invited experts from Beijing Vocational Skills Appraisal Management Center and leaders of Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited to come to BEWG to hold special guidance seminars for vocational skills level identification, skills competition, etc. 

Cai Lun, director, Bai Yiping, deputy director, and Li Mingyue, chief staff member of the Competition Department of Beijing Vocational Skills Appraisal Management Center,  general manager Cao Shuqing, deputy general manager Yuan Yuan of Human Resources Department of BEWG, Jin Feng, vice president of Beijing Enterprises Group Company Limited and secretary of the Party Committee of BEWG, as well as Yu Liguo, rotating CEO of BEWG attended the meeting. 

Before the seminar, experts from Beijing Vocational Skills Appraisal Management Center visited the exhibition hall of BEWG to have a detailed understanding of the business layout and characteristics, development history, corporate honors, etc. of BEWG. Yu Liguo accompanied them throughout the visit, and put forward the urgent need for the cultivation and development of skilled talents from the perspective of first-line talent strategy. He pointed out that as a leading company in the environmental protection industry, BEWG has been committed to promoting the cultivation of skilled talents and building a backbone operation team. Among them, high-quality skilled talents play an irreplaceable important role in accelerating industrial optimization and upgrading, improving the core competitiveness of enterprises, and promoting innovation and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. They are the driving force of enterprise development and innovation, and an important guarantee of operational excellence of enterprises.  

At the seminar, Jin Feng welcomed the leaders of Beijing Vocational Skills Appraisal Management Center for their visit and guidance on behalf of BEWG. He said that skilled talents are the core talent team that supports enterprise production and creation. As a leading representative of state-owned enterprises and environmental protection industry in Beijing, BEWG should shoulder the social responsibility of cultivating industry talents, actively implement the requirements of the national “Skills China Action” plan, respond to the requirements for the construction of the skilled talent team in Beijing, and continue to explore new approaches and new models for landing of the first-line skilled talents strategy. 

Later, Xu Bin, associate dean of Beijing Institute of Gas, and Ji Guangpeng, deputy general manager of BEWG Education Center, reported respectively on the vocational skills level certification work in 2020 and the work plan for 2021 of Beijing Gas and BEWG.  Ye Bin, assistant manager of Beijing Gas, and Wang Jiale, vice chairman of labor union of BEWG , respectively reported on the work of the skills competition.
