School-enterprise Cooperation in Hunan→BEWG and Hunan University Formally Signs a School-enterprise Cooperation Agreement 2021-04-10
On April 9, the signing and awarding ceremony for school-enterprise cooperation between BEWG and Hunan University was held at Hunan University. Yu Liguo, senior vice president of BEWG and dean of BEWG Water School and his delegations, as well as Cao Shengyuan, deputy secretary of the Party Committee and secretary of the Disciplinary Committee of Hunan University, and Tang Lin, dean of the College of Environmental Science & Engineering of Hunan University attended the signing ceremony.
Before the signing ceremony, the two parties carried out discussions and exchange of views on school-enterprise cooperation. Yu Liguo introduced the development history of BEWG, and pointed out that under the goal of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, the environmental protection industry is bound to usher in a new round of important window phase, the environmental protection investment will continue to increase, and the industry will further develops towards high-end, intelligent, and green transformation. By taking talent training & upgrading and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements as the starting point, he pointed out from the government, industry, education, and capital sides that colleges, schools and enterprises should work together to cultivate the talents with “solid foundation, active thinking, strong adaptability, and high comprehensive quality”, create a new height for talent training, take efforts to promote school-enterprise development, and build a new pattern of integration of production and education based on the concept of “resource sharing, complementary advantages, win-win cooperation, coordinated development ” and through a multi-faceted, in-depth and comprehensive cooperation model.
On behalf of Hunan University, Cao Shengyuan expressed his wishes and expectations for the signing of this school-enterprise cooperation agreement. He said that Hunan University is a national key university under the direct leadership of the Ministry of Education and one of the key universities of “Project 211” and “Project 985”, with the reputation of “one-thousand-year-old institution, a century-old prestigious school”. Currently, the in-depth integration of “production, study and research” has long-term development significance for promoting the “double first-rate” construction of Hunan University, and it is expected to achieve school-enterprise resource sharing through close cooperation with BEWG to jointly create a training base for water environmental protection talents.
Tang Lin introduced the overall situation of the College of Environmental Science & Engineering of Hunan University, as well as its achievements in discipline development, talent training, scientific research and social services. She said that the school-enterprise cooperation between BEWG and Hunan University will give full play to the resource advantages of both parties to jointly cultivate more high-quality and high-potential talents with the academic community, which also provides a richer perspective and space for the courses, internships and employment of college students.
At the signing ceremony, Xiang Jie, deputy director of the Development Liaison Office of Hunan University, and Ji Guangpeng, deputy general manager of the Human Resources Center of BEWG and deputy dean of BEWG Water School, signed the school-enterprise cooperation agreement on behalf of the two parties; Cao Shengyuan issued the “Part-time Professor Appointment Letter” to Yu Liguo, and Xue Xiaofei, executive vice president of the Research Institute of BEWG on behalf of Hunan University.
On behalf of the two parties, Yu Liguo and Tang Lin presented each other with the plaques of “Talent Training Base” and “Internship and Employment Base”, “University Technology Achievement Transformation Center” and “Science and Technology Achievement Transformation Service Center”.
The signing of this cooperation agreement will effectively promote the in-depth cooperation and in-depth integration of industry and education between BEWG and Hunan University, and provide more space for them to further carry out multi-level, multi-form and multi-field cooperation, so as to achieve organic combination and optimal allocation of school-enterprise resources, and innovate a new model of integration of production and education.
