      The Southern Region of BEWG Successfully Wins the Bid for the EPC+O Project of the Comprehensive Treatment Project of the Water System in the Central Urban Area of Ningde City 2020-03-10

      Recently, the Southern Region of BEWG has successfully won the bid for the EPC+O project of the comprehensive treatment project of the water system in the central urban area of Ningde City. This project is the “first order of the year” of BEWG in the field of comprehensive treatment of water environment, marking the company’s “another achievement” within the scope of Fujian Province, as well as a new journey of ecological environmental protection jointly started by BEWG and Ningde City.
       
      This winning of the bid is another major breakthrough that BEWG has achieved in Fujian Province, which is the key achievement of active implementation of the Group’s dual-platform strategy, ecological strategy and innovation strategy by the Southern Region of BEWG. For a long time, the Southern Region has been dedicated to the comprehensive treatment of Fuzhou water system, and has constantly received praise from the government, media, and the public with its cutting-edge water control wisdom and professional water control capabilities. Its winning of the bid in the radiation area of the existing projects this time has showed the demonstration effect generated by the previous practical work, and injected strong impetus into the vigorous development of comprehensive treatment of water environment in the Southern Region.

      It is understood that the governance scope of this project covers 21 major streams in Ningde City, with a drainage area of about 216 square kilometers. It includes nine items: newly-built sewage interception pipe, rain and sewage diversion renovation, rain and sewage pipe network repair, inland river dredging, ecological restoration, information monitoring, rain and sewage diversion renovation of residential quarters, living water quality improvement and sewage treatment plant expansion project. This project will focus on solving the main problems of Ningde City, including current poor drainage pipe network, mixed flow of rain and sewage, and insufficient terminal sewage treatment capacity to further reduce the risk of urban waterlogging, consolidate the results of elimination of black and odorous water bodies, promote continuous improvement of the quality of natural and water ecological environment of urban inland river, form an urban water environment with “smooth drainage, clear waters, green shores, harmonious landscapes, and a close relationship between people and water”, so as to improve the quality of life of the citizens in Ningde City, and enhance the image and value of the city.

      Ningde City is located in the northeastern part of Fujian Province, and situated at the “central point” of the Yangtze River Delta Economic Belt and the Pearl River Delta Economic Belt. It is an emerging coastal city on the northeast wing of the economic zone on the west side of the Straits. Among the 12 major economic indicators assessed in Fujian Province in 2019, the increase of its 9 indicators exceeded the average level of the province, and the growth rate of its 6 indicators ranks first in the province, with great potential for future development.
