    The “Beidou Award” for the First Innovation Contest of BEWG is Released! 2020-01-14

    Innovation for the future. On January 8, the selection activity of “Beidou Award” for the First Innovation Contest of BEWG was successfully concluded in Beijing. More than 200 people attended or witnessed the competition, including the Group executives, expert judges from various production lines, representatives of 40 innovative achievements from various business units and functional centers, and online and offline employees.

    The Group’s first innovation contest was named “Beidou Award”. The “Beidou Award” is a ritualized promotion of the values of “Triones” of BEWG, which not only represents the unswerving pursuit and struggle of BEWG for innovation, but also reflects the continuous accumulation and precipitation of BEWG people on the road of innovation. It is the inheritance of the corporate culture and innovative spirit of BEWG.



       

    At the launching ceremony, Yu Liguo, senior vice president of BEWG, affirmed the enthusiasm and enthusiasm of all units for innovation. He pointed out that the successful holding of this contest is of great significance for the Group to implement the innovation strategy, and he hoped that all participating teams could seize the opportunity and show their talents.

    Three teams, that is, the production innovation team, the technology innovation team, and the management innovation team, participated in the defense of innovation achievements respectively, and 40 shortlisted innovation achievements appeared on stage one by one. The reporter enthusiastically presented the results on the stage, and had a heated discussion with the judges, bringing a feast of thinking about innovation and practice to all participants. 

    Production innovation focuses on front-line production staff to improve the operation technology, equipment, process, operating methods, working environment, etc., to achieve the effects of improving work efficiency, saving costs, and improving quality. During the selection of the production innovation team, the informative data and rich demonstrations presented by the reporter of the innovation achievements sparked a heated discussion between the professional judges and the reporter. Finally, after fierce competition, the project teams of “Development and Application of Energy Efficiency Management System for Water Plants” of the Operation Management Center and the “Research and Verification of Pipeline Network Cascade Flow Superimposition Test Technology” of the Eastern Region became the winner.

    Technology innovation accommodates various business departments of the Group including construction, operation, digitalization, etc. with the style of “major technology”. It is divided into forward-looking innovation, integrated innovation, introduced re-innovation  and application innovation based on technology readiness, technology source and application. In the contest, the shortlisted achievements reporter was calm and witty during the defense process, vigorously demonstrating the scientific and technological innovation strength of BEWG. Finally, “BEWG ‘Seven-stage’ Biochemical Combination Process and Technical Decision Roadmap for Upgrading and Transformation Based on this Process” of the Group’s Technology Center and the “Intelligent Overall Solutions for Leakage Control of Water Supply Network” of the Group’s Operation Management Center won the first prize.

    Management innovation is committed to exploring new management models, expanding new paths, realizing the improvement and upgrading of management models, management mechanisms, investment and financing methods, etc., so as to empower high-quality development of the Group. The achievements reporters of the management innovation team made a comprehensive demonstration and discussion of the declared projects, and the judges conducted in-depth discussion and exchanges with the reporters on the value of the innovation proposals in terms of primacy, popularity and effectiveness. Finally, the “Operation Training Base Construction” of the Operation Management Center and the “Innovation Management Practice of the Empowerment System Leading by Key Elements” of the Eastern Region won the first prize.

    Li Li, CEO of BEWG, said in his concluding remarks that this contest is the beginning of the accumulation of BEWG’s intellectual property rights, and it is the results of management improvement and co-creation and co-construction. Next, the Group will solidify the production, technology, and management innovation results, form corresponding process packages, models, and method guidance, and build an innovation platform by means of duplication, promotion, and amplification to further stimulate the vitality and kinetic energy of the organization.

    At the prize-giving ceremony, the participating leaders presented certificates and trophies to the winners of the first, second and third prizes and the finalists.
