BEWG elected as Vice Chair Entity of CWA Urban Water Environment Sub-Committee 2019-12-30
On 28 Dec 2019, China Water Association (CWA) held the creating conference of its Urban Water Environment Sub-Committee in Tianjin. CWA leaders, industrial experts and member entities represented by more than 100 persons attended the meeting. BEWG was invited to be present and elected as vice chair entity of the Sub-Committee, where YANG Guang, Senior Vice President of the Group, was elected as Vice Chairperson of the Sub-Committee.
ZHANG Linwei, Chair of CWA addressed the conference, officially announcing the establishment of the Urban Water Environment Sub-Committee. At the meeting, executive directors, vice chairs, secretary general and other positions were voted and appointed, for example, YANG Guang was elected as Vice Chairperson, who received the Certificate of Vice Chair Entity, on behalf of the Group.
CWA is a nationwide, industry-wide, non profit organization, under the administration of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Ministry of Civil Affairs. The Sub-Committee is a secondary branch under CWA, comprising 22 enterprises, 24 research and design institutes, mainly responsible for technological progress and industrial improvement in urban water environment governance, industry development and policy supports, planning design and construction operation, technology development and product R&D, quality bettering and industry leadership, information collection and trend analysis, industry exchanges and technical services etc.
The Sub-Committee is positioned to highly agree with the main business and development strategies of BEWG. BEWG will be backed by CWA and this Sub-Committee, to practise the ecological strategy, give full play to our leadership in urban water environment field, work with local governments, enterprises, research institutes and universities, institutions, associations and other parties to jointly erect the professional authoritative platform in the field of urban water environment, to effectively integrate resources, promote industry development and industrial improvement.
