Interaction between BEWG and CEO Special Training Course of the Environmental Industry 2017-12-22
From December 20 to 22, the fourth lesson of the 6th phase of CEO special training class of the environmental industry was conducted. Zhou Min, Executive Director and President of BEWG served as the specially-appointed professor of the college and the pilot entrepreneur to give lessons to trainees. As one of the courses, trainees visited BEWG for communication and had discussion with Li Li, Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of BEWG as well as investment, technology, strategy, operation and other departments on how to establish ecological cooperation under the new situation. Wang Lizhang, Executive Director of E20 Environmental Business College and more than 40 trainees of the 6th phase of CEO special training class attended the training.
Enterprise strategy is the overall action plan composed of the main objectives, principles, strategies and action signals of the enterprise, and the highest action program to guide and lead all behaviors of the enterprise. BEWG can hardly change from the single project management in the past to a comprehensive and leading professional water services and environmental protection services provider covering industrial investment, design, construction, operation, technical service and capital operation in full industrial chain at present without the guidance of development strategies in line with the actual situations of the enterprise.
During the lessons, President Zhou Min pointed out the important role of the development strategy to the enterprise and stressed the necessity for the enterprise to conduct strategic adjustment according to the change of internal and external environments. He said, “As times have changed, strategy management is an ongoing gradual process. Facing the changing environment and competitors, strategy positioning of the enterprise should also be updated accordingly and be redefined through continuous choices.” In addition, President Zhou proceeded with the adjustment of strategies such as the ecological strategy and the dual platform strategy of BEWG and explained the background of enterprise strategy formulation, the method of strategy formulation and the logic behind strategic evolution in simple terms with the form of case studies, which benefited the trainees a lot.
In the link of leading enterprise visit during the course, Li Li, Executive President introduced the business layout of BEWG and background and connotation to formulate the ecological strategy. CEO Li pointed out that Beautiful China becomes one of the four new rigid demands after the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, bringing strong development opportunities for the environmental protection industry and more strict environmental regulatory requirements and project governance complexity at the same time, which cannot be solved independently by one enterprise. The ecological strategy proposed by BEWG is to hope “to use join forces of the industry to deal with the changing market needs through strengthening cooperation between enterprises and gathering own advantages; to realize bigger objectives by cooperation and sharing for the creation of larger values and promote the joint development of the whole water environmental protection industry.” Such opinions were recognized by trainees.
Hosted by E20 Environment Platform, the CEO special training class of the environmental industry has been held for six phases since its opening in 2015. Moreover, it has cultivated a large number of leading talents in the environmental industry and is a major training program of the environmental protection industry.
